The Absolutely Easiest Way To Send Office Documents Via Email

Please e-mail that file to me ASAP…” words you might hear quite often in our work environment.  So WHAT IS the fastest way to attach a Microsoft Office file in Groupwise?

I know, you usually just click on the paperclip in Groupwise and then go searching for the document. Personally, I like to mutter, “Now where did I save that file?” while fumbling my way through the network to retrieve a copy of the file to attach and e-mail.

Here’s a way to make it easy on yourself by setting up a shortcut to Groupwise on your Microsoft Quick Access toolbar!  Simply click on the Quick Access Toolbar’s drop-down list (found in all Microsoft 2007–2010 software) and choose e-mail.  Now the e-mail shortcut is added to that software’s Quick Access toolbar.

How does it work?  It’s so easy you will be amazed!  Open the file you want to attach and then click on the E-Mail button located on the Quick Access toolbar.  POOF!  A new message will automatically appear from Groupwise and the file will be instantly attached below.  You are ready to send.  That was easy…
